3/31 Class

We recently wrote a paper in APA format. The paper was an action research project that compared females and males and also non-traditional to traditional students. The students were all given a pre-test and a post-test. The scores were then evaluated to see how gender affected the scores and also how non-traditional and traditonal students compared to one another.

From this project, I learned more about excel and the APA formatting style. I learned how use the data in excel to create graphs and charts more easily.

I used google docs to upload the final paper and share it. From google docs I learned:
  • how to upload a paper in PDF format
  • how to share my uploaded paper with different people

A few of the things I learned about the APA format include:
  • the paper should be typed, double-spaced and have 1" margins.
  • The font should be 10-12 pt.
  • The top of every page should include a page header with the page number.
  • the paper hould have four major section
    • title page
    • abstract
    • main body
    • references

Below is a video of how to install the analysis Tool Pack in Excel
