Google Docs

Today, I used Google Docs to create a resume. I already had a resume created using microsoft word, however, I could not get it to upload properly. There were some formatting issues that I was unsure how to correct. Therefore, I made a new resume using a Google Docs template. Once I got started, it wasn't hard at all. The template was very easy to follow and kept my resume organized.  Here is a link to the resume I created.

If you wanted to create your own resume using Google Docs, just follow these simple steps:
  • log into gmail
  • click on the Google icon in the left corner
  • click on the blue "documents" tab
  • click on the red "create" button
  • select the last option, "from template"
  • look through the templates and find a resume template you want to use
  • select "use this template"
  • fill in the resume using your own personal information
  • click on the blue "share" button in the left corner
  • change the privacy settings so you can publish to the web
  • Google Docs will automatically generate a URL for your webpage
  • save your URL address so you can share you resume!
